The physical and mental aspects of quality of life among patients with eye diseases in Afghanistan
This study assessed the physical and mental aspects of quality of life among patients with eye diseases in Herat province in Afghanistan. Key Findings
- 63.4% of participants had poor physical quality of life, and 14.9% had poor mental quality of life.
- Older age, female gender, illiteracy, unemployment, and recent traumatic events were linked to poor physical quality of life.
- Unemployment and recent traumatic events were associated with poor mental quality of life.
This study highlights a clear need for policies to improve mental and physical health in patients with eye diseases in Afghanistan.
