Digital eye strain and associated factors in Palestinian school children
This study investigated the prevalence of digital eye strain (DES) among Palestinian school children. Key Findings:
- High rate of DES (44.1%) was found among Palestinian school children.
- Risk factors include poor posture, bedtime phone use, long screen time, and bright screens.
- Higher DES was linked to being female, older, using devices <30 cm away, and owning multiple devices.
The findings indicated a significant occurrence of eye strain, emphasizing the need for early detection to prevent future eye health complications.
