About the Vision Atlas

The IAPB Vision Atlas is the leading global platform for data and evidence on sight loss and eye health.

Designed for policy-makers, planners, researchers, advocates and eye health professionals, it brings together the latest data from the Vision Loss Expert Group (VLEG), RAAB.world, other global eye health estimates, and country-level eye health data to inform action and drive accountability.

Through interactive tools and accessible content, we aim to empower users to explore trends, identify disparities and drive progress towards universal eye health.

The Vision Atlas highlights the links between vision, equity and development—underscoring that no one should live with sight loss from conditions that are preventable or treatable, and that everyone should have access to eye health services, regardless of who they are or where they live.

The Vision Atlas is committed to making high-quality data openly available, accessible and usable. We promote the secondary use of data for research, advocacy and planning, and actively support transparency and collaboration in eye health data collection and use.
